The Sales Director will drive the overall productivity and effectiveness of sales and marketing activity for the company, reporting to and working closely with the Directors to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are met. The Sales Director will interface with and influence internal departments Job Role - Manage and develop the sales and marketing departments with strategic focus on building the business - Visit current and prospective clients to maintain and develop relationships - Produce and manage a pipeline of any new and potential business - Conducting weekly sales meetings and discussing the sales pipeline and potential business in the future - Monthly review meetings with the sales staff and identify areas of improvement within your departments and ensure recruitment plans are produced and adhered to - Contributing to ideas and plans that will benefit the growth of the business - Responsible for performance of sales, marketing and business development - Development and implementation of the sales and marketing strategy to maintain and drive growth - Increasing market share in existing markets and identify new business opportunities - Achieving targets for revenue, profitability and sales growth - Identifying and reporting on business opportunities in target markets - Providing leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales department, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals - Be performance focused and to really drive sales forward - Understand the products and services and be able to identify ways to improve - Analyse market trends and behaviour to uncover new business and sales opportunity - Lead and direct the marketing team while simultaneously managing a large sales function - Understand and be comfortable with the impact your decisions will make - Be closely involved in the business planning with Directors - Make things happen Skills and Experience - Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and knowledge of ACT is preferred but not essential - Flawless verbal and communication skills - New Business sales and Account Management experience - Proven track record of being in a busy, pressured and target driven environment - Polite and consultative manner - Great time management and organisational skills - A 'can do’ attitude. - A natural entrepreneur who is always thinking about business opportunities Please note: As you can appreciate we are currently overwhelmed with applications of individuals looking for both short term and permanent work and we can therefore only contact those applications that have relevant skills for positions that we currently have available.
