Job Purpose In this critical commercial role, you will be one of a small number of Service Plan Advisors tasked with helping the service business achieve its growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals by finding and closing new Service business opportunities. These opportunities will primarily include the sale of Service Plans. Key Relationships: Molecular Devices European service and sales teams, management team and North America Service sales and logistics teams. Customers internally and externally throughout Molecular Devices (UK) Ltd and the Danaher Corporation. Key Responsibilities: Drive service plan renewals, conversions and new business Produce Service Plan quotations for all European customers proactive follow up to quotations issued Renew and convert expiring service plans through value-selling and positioning MD to win in the market Establish customer's needs and preferences, offering appropriate service to ensure customer retention and acquisition of business Convert new business from leads to service plans through value-selling and positioning MD to win in the market. Interact with internal departments such as Sales, Legal, and Finance to provide to close transactions Generation of customer communications to promote service plans Provide regular and accurate forecasting for revenue and bookings Monitor competition and market trends Perform other related duties as assigned Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in service sales, account management, customer service and negotiating with customers 2+ years regular experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce/ServiceMax Must be comfortable with managing total customer relationships/experiences Demonstrated success driving growth Preferably have experience of working in a large complex organization Experience of working in an international environment, especially across Europe and US Understanding of service support administration; CRM, annual maintenance, spare parts Knowledge of the Sales process from quotes to final shipment of orders Skills: Excellent written and verbal communications skills required. Ability to fluently speak, read, and write in English and German is required. Other language fluencies are a plus. Good interpersonal skills, able to interact successfully at all levels within the business and across different cultures . Strong time management skills, able to work to and meet deadlines Excellent attention to detail and accuracy of information. Organized and thorough in approach to work/tasks Team player, enthusiastic about excellent customer service Focused and able to plan work in order to meet deadlines. Proven self-starter with outstanding work ethic and history of superior performance. exceptional commercial drive and passion to 'win', with demonstrated success driving growth. Ability to work together in a constructive way with peers, subordinates and seniors in anticipating and resolving issues; Able to remain calm and professional, even when under pressure Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications. Ability to quickly learn and master additional software applications desired. Personal attributes: The ability to work independently within defined parameters, self-starter. Comfortable in finding a way to effectively process documents in languages other than English. Flexible and willing to take on new challenges.
