Requisition/Vacancy No.: 234654BR Job Category: Engineering - Civil Job Summary: Are you a Low Carbon Energy Specialist with experience in developing low carbon solutions in multiple sectors? We have an exciting Principal role in our established Water, Ports and Power Group, based in Edinburgh providing technical and management support on a variety of projects. The Team Our Energy team has delivered many high-profile projects across the UK and globally but we recognise that some of the challenges to be addressed need to happen at a small scale, so your projects and clients will be varied and interesting with huge opportunity to provide AECOM's wide client base with effective low carbon solutions. Examples of our current projects: * Solar power deployment to remote communities in Nigeria * Low carbon generation studies for Transport for London * Pumped storage hydro investigations in the Scottish Highlands Energy audits for building owners * Process energy reviews for industrial clients The Role As Principal Low Carbon Specialist, you will be a senior member of the business and responsible for developing and leading project teams and developing and maintaining client relationships. You will review and generate technical and contractual information from both internal and external sources.You are likely to have a background working with a consulting entity but may have been in an advisory capacity with asset owners, utilities or government. You will also have strong technical knowledge, team leadership, communication and project management skills and the desire to grow your career at AECOM. Minimum Requirements: Minimum Requirements: * Strong knowledge of the low carbon economy and experience in one or more of the following areas of activity: energy audits, building energy performance, renewable generation and alternative fuels. * Engineering degree in mechanical, building services or renewable energy disciplines. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: * A Masters or equivalent further study in a related area would be advantageous * Organisational change and supply chain engagement.
