Job Description

The Systems Engineer/DevOps Engineer will be a hard working problem solver who is passionate about the tech field, you will be either experienced in the DevOps ways of working or already moving in that direction. You will be expected to provide the highest levels of technical competence and focus on the deliverables for the business, not just the technological ones but also the global integration objectives. You will be expected to admit to your mistakes and learn from them and allow others to do the same by fostering an environment of teaching and learning inside and out of the team you are placed. + Working with developers to adapt software to work with new deployment methodologies + Troubleshooting issues using Linux utilities and scripts + Tier 3 support for issues/products that don't have a support structure + Supporting the business in delivering value to our clients + Creating a globally integrated team + 2+ years working in a linux systems admin/engineering role (Centos 6,7) + Automation and configuration as code being at the core all things new + Experience using Docker and/or Kubernetes + Setting up build and deployment pipelines with Jenkins or other + Scripting languages ie, Shell, Python, Perl, Go + Experience with cloud such as AWS, Azure, GCP + Working in an Agile methodology + Working with Java and Tomcat deployments and debugging startup issues + Tenacious with problem solving + Experience with configuration management such as salt, puppet or ansible + Working knowledge of services such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, LDAP + Understanding of security concepts + Exposure to ELKK + Willingness to go on the on-call rota ID: 2020-2717 External Company Name: Vubiquity External Company URL: www.vubiquity.com Street: 3 More London
