Summary: Facebook's global network comprised of cutting-edge platforms is looking for a Fiber Delivery Engineer to drive key milestones for our critical backbone infrastructure. You will work closely with multiple external vendors, set and manage key performance indicators, and collaborate with internal supporting groups to deliver on infrastructure target dates. Manage vendor relationships and key milestones for Infrastructure on-time delivery 2. Manager fibre acceptance for performance characteristics, including Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer analysis 3. Drive metric driven quarterly business vendor reviews 4. Report on key metrics for Infrastructure products: On-time performance, Vendor performance, Financial monthly and yearly activated services 5. Collaborate with sourcing team on vendor relationships and key contract requirements including fibre planning 6. Collaborate across cross-functional teams to synchronize fiber deployment schedule with and fibre acceptance 7. Work with data located in different systems, correlate data and build data to be used across different tools/systems Minimum Qualifications: 8. 5+ years experience in network deployment fibre infrastructure projects 9. Experience in terrestrial fibre network design and technology, ideally in long haul networks 10. Certification or a proven track record in project management techniques and tools (e.g. PMP) 11. Experience with engaging vendors on aspects of network design, planning and construction, particularly in the EMEA market 12. Vendor management experience 13. Experience in relationship building and collaboration within a cross-functional team 14. Handle data with different tools to be able to create correlations and be able to clean data sources Industry: Internet
