Job Summary Providing translation/interpreting services for all SEE sections, while assisting Senior Translation Manager for JLSs tasks in relation to assignments, workflow, work data and tools. Key Deliverables * Translation of e-mails, reports and documents from/to English and Japanese * Interpreting at game events, meetings, conference calls, etc. * Providing other types of Japanese-English language support to all departments * Managing team workload/task-related tools and assign them when required * Frequently engaging in conversations with other teams to ensure efficient translation flows * Taking the lead in dealing with technical requirements for improving the team operations such as identifying, recommending, managing appropriate tools, software and services Requirements Knowledge & Experience * Native or near-native speaker in both English and Japanese * Proficient speaking/writing skills in both languages * Previous experience as a translator/ interpreter * Basic knowledge about games and marketing/PR in general * Previous experience in task control and data management * Experience in translating on CA (computer-assisted translation) tools such as TRADOS * Understanding of Western and Japanese cultures * Translation experience gained within the games industry and/or technical field * Previous experience of working as interpreter at public places/events * Experience of managing task management tools such as Trello * In-depth knowledge about tools and systems that are designed to aid translation work, particularly CA tools * Previous experience working in marketing/PR * Considerable knowledge about game development/publishing JRPG in particular Competencies, Skills & Attributes * Excellent skills to organise projects and run them efficiently as planned to the finest detail * Ability to monitor staff and create an environment where they can work as efficiently as possible * Proficient computer/IT skills, with good attention to detail * Familiar with MS Office applications, especially Excel/PowerPoint * Excellent communication skills (verbal and written skills) * People skills and confidence to communicate with internal stakeholders from different departments * Ability to form good relationship in both business cultures * Technical knowledge about digital distribution as well as console platforms/PC gaming Other * Team player with a positive and friendly attitude * Temperament to remain calm, cooperative and helpful in any circumstances * Available to work flexibly (particularly on business trips abroad) and under pressure * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Knowledge and experience playing SQUARE ENIX titles such as FINAL FANTASY and KINGDOM HEARTS Knowledge and passion for playing SQUARE ENIX titles such as FINAL FANTASY including MMOs
