As a Senior Video Engineer for Pearson, you will be responsible for the design, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of video systems located in offices around the globe. The systems include, but are not limited to: + Meeting room video conference systems + Digital signage and content distribution + Internal video broadcast solutions + IPTV Distribution Qualifications Key Responsibilities + Deploy, configure and test various Microsoft Teams video conferencing devices + Troubleshoot L2 and L3 issues related to Microsoft Teams video issues, Capture, triage, troubleshoot and resolve issues, escalate when needed, engage 3rd parties as needed to fulfil support needs. + Service monitoring, using in-house tools and actively respond to system alerts and notifications + Prepare training documentation for use of video equipment + Work with other teams during new projects and high severity incidents. Strong verbal and written skills including strong cross-cultural communication + Become a SME (Subject Matter Expert) on Teams support and operational ownership + Interface with vendors and carriers to facilitate deployment of video conferencing solutions. + Provide input into product selection and standards, design, and certification. + Develop proposals and contribute to business cases for implementation action based on established design standards. + Ensure new services are structured to the centralized operational model. + Raise and execute Change Records in accordance with departmental change policy + Up to 25% travel may be required Qualifications + Design skills and deployment experience with AV technologies such as room control, room automation, video conferencing, audio processors and digital signage + Be conversant with current industry best practice + Comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP, including H.320, H.323 and SIP. + Successful track record in a large Global Enterprise deploying UC solutions. + Proven successful delivery of high-quality, cost-effective infrastructure services in a complex, high-availability environment. + Proven ability to plan and execute multiple workloads in a pressurized, dynamic environment on time and to budget. + Knowledge of Ethernet / Wireless provisioned solutions within an Enterprise Network. + Knowledge of cabling media, industry standards and associated interfaces. + The ability to physically install network components and devices. + Must have proven customer service and customer management skills, and proven troubleshooting process experience + Must be highly organized and detail-oriented. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills including ability to train others + Must be able to quickly demonstrate credibility with engineering staff and gain their confidence + Ability to multi-task between several customer situations at the same time Skills and Experience + 5-7 years installing, configuring, and troubleshooting video conference systems + Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field + Experience in a Skype for Business or Teams environment required + Experience in an Office 365 environment desirable + Experience in MS License management + Experience with additional video conference platforms a plus + Proficient with Microsoft PowerShell and scripting + Experience with Azure Active Directory a plus + Experience with Intel PC hardware a plus + Experience with Polycom endpoints a plus + Microsoft Certifications a plus Pearson is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer and a member of E-Verify.
