We are looking for a motivated software engineering manager to join our team and help continue our mission. Located in Edinburgh city centre, with stunning views, you will be working with our great team in a friendly environment. You will be involved in all stages of development from ideas and architecture through to deployment and support. The team * We are a small but highly effective group of approx 25 software engineers, working in teams of 3-8 using agile methodologies, modern devops processes and focus on continual improvement. * With regular and frequent release cycles you will be delivering value directly to users. Your responsibilities would include : * Plan and manage the development lifecycle processes, including releases. * Coordinate work for multiple teams, reporting on progress and successes. * Working with the Product leads to understand roadmap priorities to plan accordingly. * Facilitate continual improvement of the team's processes, through retrospectives and staff engagement. * Collaborate with other managers to develop shared practises. * Overall HR responsibility for the engineers. * Coaching and developing engineers to achieve their potential, through 1:1s and regular contact. * Hiring responsibility for engineering and testing. Conducting and organising interviews. Technologies we use * Our products are developed using a range of technologies with a primary focus on .NET. * C#, RabbitMQ, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Elasticsearch, MS SQL and Azure. * Other technology used throughout the company includes Git, Xamarin (iOS & Android), HTML/CSS, React.JS, WinForms. * As big fans of automation we love Azure DevOps & Octopus Deploy.
