Job Description
As one of York's oldest pubs, The Golden Fleece is a busy city centre, traditional English site with a number of hotel rooms showing real charm and character to reflect the site's historic nature as the most haunted pub in the area - even investigated by the Most Haunted television team! We boast traditional settings mixed with delicious menus and great entertainment. We're popular with local events and love to mix with our community, even the ghostly kind! We are looking for a Team Leader to join our team and continue the success of the pub. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Supervisor looking to establish their hospitality career and tak advantage of our development programmes. Responsibilities will include: * Day to day running of the pub to include running shifts and managing the team * Using our systems to look after bookings, stock and compliance * Leading the way with outstanding service and effective complaints management * Opening and closing procedures * Cellar management Requirements * Proven experience of running shifts and managing staff * Experience with cashing up tills, cashing up safe, banking and knowledge of risks and troubleshooting * Great product knowledge on beer and cask ale * Fast learning and ability to adapt to different office and till systems. * High standards of Health and Safety knowledge and enforcing correct practice * Great communication and conflict resolution skills Benefits * Ongoing training and development to actively support progression within Bermondsey Pubs * Competitive hourly pay * Flexible hours * 50% discount on food and drink in all Bermondsey Pub * Cycle to Work scheme and access hundreds of other retail discounts * Working with a great team in a famous pub!
