Job Description

Hometrack delivers the market leading valuation service to lenders and across the property technology and financial technology industries. Our key commercial and go to market segment is in financial services, primarily mortgage lenders including 9 of the top 10 mortgage providers. The Senior Solution Architect is responsible for defining and designing the engineering platforms and their strategies for our products and the needs of our clients and prospects. The Senior Solution Architect is responsible for ensuring the Microsoft Azure Cloud platform is leveraged across all the Hometrack products successfully. They are also responsible for identifying opportunities to apply Hometrack's software and infrastructure to leverage both Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions as part of the overall software platform. The Senior Solution Architect will report directly to the Head of Engineering and will also work closely with the wider Engineering team, in particular DevOps, Application Engineering and Data Engineering in order to set standards and best practises to drive engineering disciplines and approaches. They will also work closely with Product Management to ensure our platform is aligned to future product needs. Key responsibilities * Develop a deep understanding of product's, clients' and prospects' requirements to ensure our engineering platform is aligned to their needs * Define and design the solution architecture for the Hometrack products aligned to the Microsoft Azure Cloud platform * Define and execute a strong engineering best practise approach to the Cloud platform to ensure both PaaS and SaaS approaches are leveraged where necessary * Define a platform roadmap to ensure that migration from the existing co-located infrastructure is successful * Work to define and select a software catalogue to ensure development is aligned to needs of Hometrack and the platform architecture * Ensure the architecture is aligned to Cloud infrastructure costs and to optimise usage based on demand of the platform Requirements Essential skills * Extensive experience of commercial software in the financial services sector * Significant exposure to the Cloud-based solution architecture and software development * Experience working as a solution architect in a product development * Ability to innovate and develop software solutions; demonstrate the ability to understand product and clients' needs and define suitable solutions to meets their requirements * Proven track record in software migration from traditional infrastructure to a Cloud based architecture * Outstanding knowledge of security, capacity, performance and availability architecture strategy.
