BAME Recruitment are working with a number of fantastic not-for-profit and charity organisations in recruiting trustees to their Boards. Ensuring diversity on the Board is a prevalent challenge for many charities. We seek to find and increase Board diversity that is reflective of our society and those they serve. What is a trustee? Being a trustee gives you the opportunity to provide support to a CEO leading and organisation that is making real difference to individuals or society as a whole. Trustees play a fundamental role in the strategic development of the organisation by empowering their invaluable experience and skills within a leadership role. A trustee must act in the best interests of the trust's beneficiaries. Who can become a trustee? A trustee is someone who is in a position to handle issues on behalf of a Board. Most Boards are looking for trustees with lived experience of the communities the organisation serves and with a wide range of skills and expertise in the following areas: * Finance and accountancy * Legal * Marketing and PR * Risk and audit * Human Resources * Treasurer experience * Safeguarding As a trustee you are part of a team and will have the opportunity to apply your unique skills and experience while learning from others. Working with a passionate team of people who have different perspectives is often one of the most enjoyable aspects of the role. Being a trustee can be very rewarding. As a trustee you have the chance to support and shape the work and strategic direction of an organisation for a cause that matters.
