Cancer Research UK (CRUK) Two Trustees – Chair of Audit Committee and Chair of Finance Committee London 20 days per year (approx.) Unremunerated, expenses paid Cancer Research UK (CRUK) is the world’s largest cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research. We have an annual income of approximately £670m and fund about two-thirds of cancer research in the United Kingdom as well as providing information about cancer and having an ambitious influencing agenda. . We are looking for the future Chair of our Audit and our Finance Committees; two individuals who will contribute to the on-going commercial and strategic development of this large, complex and successful charity. For the Chair of the Audit Committee we are particularly interested in those with experience of the governance and leadership of commercial businesses. The Chair of the Finance Committee will need highly-developed financial acumen, relevant and recent finance experience and preferably an accountancy qualification. The successful candidates will understand the role of a charity trustee and will demonstrate the ability to contribute constructively to a high-quality and collaborative Board environment. They will have excellent inter-personal and communication skills, sound judgement and integrity.
