Job Description
**Position Purpose & Summary** To train in the safe and effective operation of the Utilities plant through distributed control system and locally, to problem solve when required. Utilities plant to incorporate gas turbines, waste heat boilers, cooling towers, condensate, compressed air, water, gas, effluent and steam systems. You will study for the level 3 apprenticeship standard: 'Utilities Engineering Technician' provided by SETA. **Principal Accountabilities** + Logging, monitoring and reporting of CHP and Utility plant operation + Operating and first line maintenance of the Utility plant and system + Regular safety checks-daily, weekly and monthly + Maintaining and developing key performance indicators + Conducting in-process analysis, including boilers and cooling towers + Participation in projects and community activities + Studying towards Level 3 Utilities Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard including: + Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering + BTEC level 3 in Advanced Manufacturing Technology + NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Technical Support Equal Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Vet.
