Job Description

**Position purpose** Cargill's plant in York is a production facility at the hub of the UK confectionery industry. As part of Cargill's cocoa and chocolate business, we produce a full range of chocolate for various applications for customers in the confectionery, biscuit, bakery and dairy industries. Over the course of the three year apprenticeship, you will work as part of a production team learning the Process; operational skills required to successfully support the operation of one of our production departments, working to high safety and quality standards. You will study in parallel to you on the job training and development, working on a block release basic at the National Centre for Food Manufacturing University of Lincoln. **Principal Accountabilities** + Train in the safe and effective operation of the plant and equipment on the plant + Learn to use a central display screen to monitor the plant and identify issues + Carry out in-process quality control checks and other analytical checks + Carry out routine Operational tasks + Learn to identify and resolve problems with the process + Participation in Projects and community activities + Studying towards Level 3 Food and Drink Advanced Process Operator standard.
