Customer Support Officer

Our client is looking for Customer Support Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

Maintains communication between the Branch and the General Manager and prepares all required reports regarding operations and productivity in accordance with given timelines.

Ensures the profitability and sustainability of the branch by taking steps to maximize operational efficiency, loans, and team performance. 

Ensures that lending and risk management operations and are legally compliant and are conducted in accordance with established policies/procedures of the Credit Union. 

Ensures all rejected loan requests are properly documented for review by the General Manager/ Credit Committee

Ensures the branch meets all deadlines with respect to service requests, timely payment of bills; with the highest standard of accuracy and supporting documentation.  

Ensures that vault, teller, and cash records are accurate and are managed in accordance with company policy and procedures.

Ensures the Branch meets internal and external service expectations of friendly, professional, caring, and accurate service and supports and monitors the customer service (internal and external) abilities of staff members.

Conducts performance appraisals for all subordinates within the prescribed time frame and takes appropriate action for breaches in the Code of Conduct.

Assigns work, provides training, guidance, and direction for direct reports.

Assists in problem resolution and makes decisions within established authority level. 

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

A first degree in finance, accounting, or relevant discipline from an accredited university

A minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience in a credit union or other financial organization.

Extensive knowledge of the Credit Union and Cooperative societies will be an asset

Additional training and experience in statutory financial and compliance laws will be   an asset

Understanding of accounting processes, procedures and internal controls.
