Our client is looking for Data Analyst-Internal Audit


Qualifications:


Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Actuarial Science or Statistics.

 At least 3 years' experience querying databases, data marts or data warehouse with structured querying language (SQL), such as MSSQL, MySQL and Oracle 

Knowledge of artificial intelligence in data assessment would be an asset

Data analytics and IT Auditing certification would be an asset

Three (3) years working experience in data analysis, data modelling and/or business intelligence.

Programming and scripting experience, preferably in SQL, Python, R, MS Power Automate

Experience with Online Analytical Processing (OLAP), visualization and reporting software, preferably SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, SAP Business Objects, Tableau, Cognos

Experience with data profiling, data quality, master data management

 

Responsibilities:


Strategic Thinking

Data Analysis and Reporting

Maintain up to date skills on relevant technologies and trends.

Partner with the audit team to identify and address reporting and analytical needs.

Understand and translate business and analytical needs into functional Bl solutions inclusive of technical requirements.

Advanced usage of BI tools, preferably Power BI, SAP Business Objects, SSRS, Tableau and Excel to develop, debug, document and maintain complex reports and dashboards to meet the evolving data and analytics needs

Manage the scheduling and delivery of automated reports, dashboards, and data extracts to the user community, preferably through Power BI, SAP Web Intelligence, SSRS, MS SharePoint and other relevant tools within the MS O365 environment.

Develop and deliver ad hoc reports to answer strategic questions and aid decision making 

Maintain a repository of reporting collateral and documentation.

Collaborate successfully with other technical and operational staff to achieve expert-level understanding of the data used for reporting and analytics to meet the business needs.

Serve on data and technology related projects and working groups to provide reporting and analytics expertise.

Track data lineage by updating the meta-data repository in service to the data governance program.

Provide recommendations to improve data quality and integrity.

Train and mentor staff on available reporting tools and techniques for using them effectively.

May lead ad hoc data analytics and reporting projects and take on other duties as assigned.
