Information Technology Officer

Our client is looking for Information Technology Officer

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain secure software applications using VB.net or other modern programming languages.

Administer and maintain SQL Server databases and backup systems.

Consult and interact with third-party databases and generate queries to extract and utilize data effectively.

Liaise with end users to identify modifications needed to existing applications and where necessary assess and recommend new applications to meet user requirements.

Assist with the development of system designs and application specification using industry best practices.

Install, maintain and upgrade computer equipment and applications.

Draft or update technical policies and procedures for all IT systems, tasks, and in-house developed applications including user guides and system manuals.

Deliver training to end users on the use of new or existing systems or applications.

Provide system administration support, including Active Directory user management, system monitoring, backup and restore operations, and troubleshooting of network equipment and virtualized server environments.

Provide timely helpdesk support to end users for all systems and applications.

Liaise with vendors to ensure timely service delivery and ensure that contractual obligations and terms of SLAs are met.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or certification in any of the following:

At least three (3) years’ experience as a Programmer and Database Specialist.

Proficiency in modern high-level programming languages such as C#, Java/JavaScript, Python, VB.net.

Experience working in the financial services sector will be considered an asset.

Sound knowledge of SQL and experience with database systems

Understanding of system administration tasks, example, Linux/Windows server management, network configuration.
