Medical Secretary (obstetrics and Gynaecology) obsttric & GynaEcology Department Agenda for Change Band: 3 Hours: 28 hrs over 4 days (7 hours per day Monday - Wednesday & Friday between 08:00 & 17:00) Contract: Permanent This is an exciting opportunity to support the Obstetrics and Gynaecology secretarial team and play a central role in the provision of efficient, high quality and comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to the Obstetrics and Gynaecology consultants. Working in a strong multidisciplinary environment you will support the delivery of the Obstetric and Gynaecology service through delivering consistent, high quality processes and procedures that ensure the team provide the best possible service to the women who access the Obstetrics and Gynaecology service. The Obstetrics and Gynaecology Oncology service hosts a range of services supporting the women of Sheffield and the wider South Yorkshire region. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized individual with excellent administrative and typing skills who can work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to provide an effective and efficient administrative and secretarial service to the Obstetrics and Gynaecology service. The successful candidate should be organized, have excellent computer skills and have experience of working in a fast paced environment. Applicants must be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent; with a minimum of 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) two of which must be Maths & English Language (grade C or above). They should also be able to use their initiative, work to deadlines and have experience of providing phone based customer service to members of the public.
