Job Description
Are you a proactive individual with strong prioritisation skills and an interest in working for a charity which makes a real difference to the lives of people who are homeless? About the role We are looking for people to join the dynamic and friendly Rent Service Team in Admin Assistant roles. This busy team processes Housing Benefit payments from 55 local authorities in the UK for up to 4000 St Mungo's residents; and plays a key role in the organisation to support clients to rebuild their lives. In this role you will: * Support the team to ensure the rent accounting system contains up to date information on all tenant's account(s), and properties. * Record all payment receipts through the effective processing of Housing Benefit and individual payments received through Allpay, and other sources. * To work with the Rent Service Coordinator to improve monitoring of rent accounts and provide admin support to the Rent Services Team. What we're looking for These roles will suit individuals with: * Experience in providing excellent customer service in a fast paced environment. * Great communication and team working skills. * Proficient experience of working to systems and processes. * A willingness to work flexibly to support organisational demands. * Strong administration skills, attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritise your own time and workload. * Above all, we are looking for people with a proactive 'can do' attitude and a willingness to learn. We offer 25 days annual leave, and operate a very popular Flexi Time scheme, which allows you to supplement your annual leave entitlement. After 5 years, staff annual leave entitlement increases to 28 days. St Mungo's contribute 4% of your gross annual salary, and you are able to enrol in the Defined Contribution scheme following a successful probationary period in which the employer contribution is 6%.
