We are currently recruiting experienced senior registered nurses to join our committed and evolving team in the Children's Unit. As a Senior Staff Nurse you will be expected to use your expertise to: * Coordinate Shifts * Complete appraisals of your own teams * Support staff members * Assist the Senior Charge Nurse with managerial roles such as SSTS, Audits etc * Facilitate the learning of other members of the team. * Escalate risk effectively and efficiently The Children's Unit is divided into 3 parts and you will be expected to work across the floor: * 1a Assessment Unit- a 10 bedded unit which see's emergency referrals ,day cases and ward attenders. * 1b Inpatient Ward a-23 bedded children's inpatient ward which treats children and young people with medical and surgical needs. * 1c Outpatient Cllinc " busy outpatient clinical setting that holds various clinics for different specialities. Please note you will also be expected to work in the Paediatric Emergency Department as well. Applications are welcomed from experienced, compassionate and motivated nurse's. Full driving licence required. Hours: 34.5 per week. This is a fixed term secondment opportunity until September 2021.
