We currently have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join our UK Savings and Retirement (S&R) Team as a Senior Financial Crime Manager in either our York, Bristol, Sheffield, London, Dorking or Norwich office . You will support the S&R business area, helping to secure good customer outcomes, good regulatory outcomes, protect the reputation of the business and assist with Aviva's safe growth, in compliance with regulations and internal standards. This opportunity will align perfectly with you if you are seeking a challenging and stimulating role! As you will work in partnership with/support the Managing Directors for the S&R business areas ensuring that all financial crime risks are managed within appetite and that the business responds appropriately to new developments in financial crime regulation. As the Senior Financial Crime Manager, you will advise the Managing Directors regarding financial crime regulations and how they apply to their business areas, the financial crime risks they are exposed to and how to manage risks by proposing recommendations. Therefore, you will need to have a good understanding as to how the regulations apply to savings and pensions products in order to develop and lead the delivery of the overall S&R financial crime strategy and risk assessment. Responsibilities in the role: * Ensure compliance with all aspects of applicable financial crime legislation or regulation that applies to the different parts of S&R * Lead and sponsor on S&R change projects from a financial crime angle * Provide technical guidance to S&R as a subject matter expert on complex financial crime queries * Lead the network of financial crime champions across S&R * Ensure all the financial crime champions receive the right training * Represent S&R on internal Financial Crime Forums * Lead, deliver and embed a culture of financial crime awareness and continuous improvement * Support the development of the Financial Crime Assurance plan in conjunction with the Head of Assurance * Manage and supervise controls testing/assurance activity related to financial crime * Oversight of financial crime related internal and external reporting Skills and experience we're looking for: * Financial services background with excellent regulatory knowledge in relation to financial crime * Strong experience applying financial crime skills and knowledge in a practical way * Excellent knowledge of financial crime risks and how they relate to the S&R business * Ability to help resolve complex, real business problems, particularly from a financial crime risk management perspective * Good interpersonal and stakeholder skills at a senior level * Good analytical skills with ability to 'see the wood for the trees' and prioritise accordingly * Self-motivated and driven with an energy and passion for driving better outcomes through good risk management * A strong desire to work collaboratively to achieve the right outcomes for our customers and for Aviva Qualifications * Degree level or Financial Services qualification - desirable * Recognised financial crime qualification What will you get for this role? * Salary between 50,000 - 75,000 depending on skills, experience and qualifications * Generous defined contribution pension scheme * Annual performance related bonus and pay review * Holiday allowance of 29 days plus bank holidays and the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days * Up to 40% discount for some Aviva products through "My Aviva Extras" plus discounts for Friends and Family (some exclusions apply) * Excellent range of flexible benefits to include a matching share save scheme Oh and by the way...
