Electric Square originally sparked into life as sister studio to the renowned Studio Gobo in 2015. Since then, Electric Square has overseen major releases in Forza Street and Hot Wheels id, opened three studios and established itself as one of the most exciting new games studios in the UK! Electric Square Leamington Spa is a brand-new studio with big ambitions and a forward thinking approach to game development, following in the footsteps of its world class HQ in Brighton. This is a role that carries genuine responsibility and does require significant previous experience. It is a line-management role and is likely to appeal specifically to those who want to mentor and develop others as they develop an inclusive culture of design excellence. Duties: * Take overall responsibility for the design of a title. * Ensure smooth, clear communication within the design, development and publishing team. * Respond to and implement feedback from data analysis, reviews and playtests. * Set design goals and ensure high quality delivery. * Line manage the design team for a title. * Set the standard for an excellent and collaborative design culture. * Empower the design team with inspiring goals and mentor them to deliver brilliantly. Requirements * 5+ years experience in game design. * Experience delivering mobile and/or free to play games. * Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills. * An open mind and a desire to learn. * A practiced listener. * A deep understanding of game design process. * Able to demonstrate delivery against a clearly held design vision. * Able to concisely articulate game concepts and analyse game mechanics. * Demonstrable understanding of mentoring or line-management. * Demonstrable ability to define and deliver data-informed design tasks.
