Job Description

A GUI Software Engineer (Graphical User Interface) is required by a successful and secure technology company based in Blandford, Dorset. Experience in building server-based applications with technologies such as NodeJS or similar is required. Responsibilities: * Design and implement next generation Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) * Design, develop, code, test and debug software * Evolve, maintain and increase the quality of the company's responsive GUI analytics * Drive innovative GUI design, development and best practice * Produce design proposals, unit testing and in-code API documentation * Integrate new and existing platforms * Provide mentoring, coaching and skills training to a team of junior/apprentice software engineers Skills/Requirements: * Skilled in technologies used to build fast and server-based applications such as NodeJS or similar * Ideally, familiar with Elasticsearch / Kibana or similar analytics and data platforms * Experience working within a Linux environment * Understanding of Agile development methodology, continuous integration and automated build platforms * Any understanding of IP Networking (e.g. OSI model) would be advantageous * Must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance Salary/Benefits: The salary for this role is between £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience and relevant skills.
