Job Description

Main Duties: * Maintaining condition and appearance of soft & hard landscaping, ponds, walkways & courtyards * Keeping facilities and surrounding areas free from litter & debris * Removal of graffiti * Cleaning and maintaining equipment and materials. * Following applicable safety guidelines and procedures. * To reports site issues to your line manager * Ensure you carry out duties and tasks to the highest standard of customer service * Ensure work is completed on time. * To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner * To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required * To provide management information/reporting as required * To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required * Working Hours & days are to be confirmed. Please note that weekend working will be required from time-to-time as holiday cover. Essential: * Previous experience as a Groundsman or similar * The ability to work well as part of a team * A flexible and enthusiastic approach to work * The ability to work without supervision and prioritise workload according to fixture lists and weather conditions Desirable: * Knowledge and experience of working with leaf vacuums/shredders & snow clearing equiment. Health and Safety responsibilities * Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times; * Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment; * Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received; * Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system; Information Security * Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities; * Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager; * Report actual and suspected security incidents; Note This job description Is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for this position and the range of duties undertaken.
