Job Description

* EL/PL Litigation Executive * Up to £32,000 (depending on experience) * Manchester My client is recruiting for a EL/PL Litigation Executive / fee earner to join their Employment and Public Liability Department The role will comprise of the following duties: * A Personal Injury Litigation Executive dealing in pre and post litigation EL/PL Cases. * Manage between 100-150 files at any one time * Working to court deadlines * Liaising and Reporting to insurers * Ensuring limitations dates are met * Writing letters negotiating settlements * Witness Statements * Letters of Instruction * Reviewing medical reports * Issuing court proceedings * Diary Management * Keeping in constant touch with the clients to ensure communication and continuous workflow. * Use of in-house case management systems * Keeping up to date with regulatory changes * Research using internal resources * Additional skills would be looked upon more favourably The successful candidate will have: * The successful candidate will have previous EL/PL experience * Previous experience of running a caseload within a legal practice * Good working knowledge of the CPR,JC Guidelines. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to work to deadlines. * Attention to detail, excellent organisation skills and willingness to learn are paramount. * Excellent client care skills and management of client expectations * Empathetic, compassionate with an even temperament to deal with potentially difficult situations with the ability to think logically. * IT skills such as WORD / EXCEL / OUTLOOK are essential.
