**Position Summary** The Display division within Samsung Electronics UK has a huge breadth of focus across both B2C and B2B markets. The Display organisation encompasses Product Management, Pre-Sales, Sales (B2C Retail/B2B Channel), Business Development & Marketing (Brand/Events/Channel). **Role and Responsibilities** The Display 2020 vision is to directly drive demand in the UK & Ireland through encouraging end users to embrace new digital solutions through our Marketing and Business Development efforts. The largest category is LCD Monitor which is targeted towards consumers for use in a home environment, or into distribution and reseller partners targeting the B2B office market. SMART Signage (or LFD) is a crucial category with a diverse portfolio of both hardware and software to form solutions to meet key end user requirements. LED is a rapidly emerging technology as end users begin to see the outstanding benefits the technology offers in terms of perfect content presentation and high impact, whether that be in the boardroom or on the high street. The division also encompasses Hospitality Display where Samsung holds superb relationships with the top hotel chains in the UK who have invested in the systems offered by the no.1 TV brand. An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, proactive individual to become a Business Development Manager for the Scottish market, within the UK Display Office, reporting to the Head of Channel in the pursuit of revenue growth. This is a varied role that requires flexibility and changing focus as our calendar year progresses. The successful candidate will seek responsibility for developing new business opportunities in an organized fashion. The role will require you to develop end user relationships, but also channel partner relationships. We will be supported by the team in Chertsey with marketing and supply chain support. We will require an understanding of the Display market, and have knowledge of the Digital signage market. The candidate will have strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal; personal rigour and the energy to drive and maintain momentum on multiple opportunities in parallel. You will have the confidence to collaborate closely with colleagues at all levels of the business. **Key Accountabilities:** Grow Samsung share in the Scottish market for LFD, LCD, LED and Digital Signage Solutions Develop end user relationships and channel partnerships to accelerate revenues Co-ordinate local marketing activities for Display as relates to Distribution and Channel Partners Coordinate tender response documents for your market opportunities Confidence in influencing, leading and dealing with key internal and external customers **Key Proficiencies & Characteristics:** + Excellent listening skills, both written and verbal (English crucial, other European languages highly helpful) + Good presentation skills + Strong written skills + Strong organisational skills + Consulting skills + Outstanding multi-tasker + Phenomenal teammate, but self-starter with the ability to operate independently to achieve defined goals + Customer facing experience and a strong customer focus + Flexible and adaptable - A "Can do" demeanor + Fully IT literature (MS suite, sophisticated excel & PowerPoint), with experience across various ERP/CRM systems useful. + Ambition to develop towards a business development role **Experience We'd expect:** + Display market experience either as an integrator or as a vendor + Strong technical understanding of display hardware solutions + Understanding of foreign cultures and how to navigate + Experience of working in fast paced and fluid environment where tight targets are to be met + University degree or equivalent preferred We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our Company.
