Job Description
Various Band 5 Vacancies available Full Time / Part Time We require enthusiastic, caring and motivated individuals to join our team as staff nurses to provide dynamic, high quality nursing care to Children, Young People and Babies. We offer the option of either simply choosing your preferred place of work or to be part of our rotational programme across the department - both options will allow you to advance as a highly skilled staff nurse ready for promotion. We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced nurses. Ward 5 - is a 22 bedded inpatient ward, incorporating a busy Paediatric High Dependency and working here means caring for babies, children and young people from 0-16. As part of our multi-disciplinary team, you will care for children with a wide range of acute and complex conditions including Oncology whilst supported by a Paediatric Practice Development Nurse based within the Unit. Ward 4: Paediatric Assessment Unit (PAU) / Paediatric Day Surgery Ward 4 is divided into a 6 bedded day surgery unit, Paediatric Day Care and a 24 hour 10 bedded PAU that flexes capacity to meet the ever changing needs of our children. We offer access to expert, evidence based and family centered assessment, treatment and care. Across every area of the Paediatric Unit we continually strive, as a multi-disciplinary team, to offer high quality, evidenced based and holistic care to all of our children. As a Unit we have an active preceptorship and an exciting education programme and we encourage all staff to undertake internal and external courses to ensure their continued development. Opportunities include internal and external study days and University based courses such as Mentorship, Caring for children with Cancer or Diabetes, and Paediatric High Dependency modules.
