Ready to create the next big 'wayve' in autonomous vehicles? What we make? Wayve are making autonomous cars. We are doing things differently, trying a learning approach that doesn't need high resolution mapping. We hope we are 'contrarian and correct' Our founding team are leading thinkers in the field and have published numerous impactful research papers while part of top research labs. If we are right we leapfrog everyone else in the field. The team that we want you to join is about making the vast amounts of data we have easy to understand and use. We are collecting petabytes of data each year, without systems in place to manage that we won't be able to effectively able to use it. We are growing quickly - people who join now will shape the role, team and culture as we get bigger. What we are looking for? Rather than a list of specific skills we are looking for a bunch of character traits which will help us to move and adapt as we rapidly scale the company. Always trying to find a better way We want people who can stop things that aren't working right and try to come up with solutions to make them better.We want a person who is always asking why? And how can I make this better? Hit the ground running We want someone who when they see a problem is able to start fixing it. This doesn't mean you need to know everything, but it means that you are ready to attack any problem we might throw at who and be willing to ask for help when you don't know something. Always be learning We want engineers who join to keep becoming better engineers while they are here. We want people who like learning new things, are eager to get good feedback on how they can improve and are able to pick things up quickly. Always be teaching Building a company is a team effort.
