Job Description

Manage the day to day operations of the internal sales team based in Worksop, UK and Houston, TX, including setting and tracking day to day workload, monitoring KPI's and providing sales forecasts. Continue to manage key client accounts to support business growth. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Produce periodical reports as requested by the business * Reply to the demands of the business within acceptable timescales * Be easy to work with - we want future business * Liaise with internal departments to support customer service on all levels * Manage the internal sales team on a day to day basis * Provide day-to-day Internal Sales support to achieve and/or exceed planned order intake from your designated region in compliance with the Company's commercial and margin expectations, securing profitable business.. * Represent the sales team in internal department meetings. * Periodically review sales processes and procedures as part of continuous improvement. * Support the Sales Team depending on volume of enquiries from each Region i.e. APAC, MEA, EUR, AMR * Evaluate enquiries and determine the optimum commercial and technical solution utilising sizing programmes, engineering principles and eSales. * Produce an accurate and professional proposal, including a breakdown of all line items, whilst taking into account margin expectations. Ensure compliance and/or list any exceptions where necessary. Follow-up bid until completion of sale for a set of designated accounts. * Obtain / negotiate prices from potential sub suppliers and complete cost estimates where necessary. * Liaise with customers, suppliers and design agencies to determine and define specifications. * Promote sales within overseas agents and relevant SPX sales management networks worldwide and make appropriate reports and recommendations. Identify and develop additional sales channels where necessary. * Take part in weekly sales meetings / calls with the Sales Director to highlight project opportunities for GD globally. EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 5+ years experience in the Oil, Gas and Process Industries Bachelors degree is required, Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Proven sales record with sound commercial experience in a relevant industry sector Capable of reading and understanding engineering drawings and complex specifications
