SUMMARY We're looking for someone to join a collaborative, fast-paced team working on APIs/services that drive customer journeys on our gaming sites. You're an experienced software engineer who will bring your ideas about microservices architecture, Agile ways-of-working, and a devops approach. We're a friendly and learning-oriented team, with regular lunches, mob programming sessions, boardgames & drinks in the great social spaces of our Piccadilly Circus office. THE ROLE & OPPORTUNITY * Design, build and ship software from inception to production * Contribute to our Agile/Scrum journey, working closely with your cross-functional team & driving an incremental approach * Mentor & coach fellow engineers, championing development best practices * Lots of great people to learn from, both within and beyond your team TECHNOLOGY & WAYS-OF-WORKING * We use Java 8 in our large-scale systems and modern microservices * We're experimenting and modernising our platform with new tech like Spring Boot, Docker, GoCD, Apigee, Ansible, React JS, Google Cloud Platform & Kubernetes * We're adopting Agile/XP practices like pairing, TDD, BDD, incremental delivery and continuous improvement WE ALSO LOVE OUR... * Fantastic Central London office, overlooking Piccadilly Circus * Nespresso machines! * Diverse, friendly team - meet people from many different nationalities & backgrounds * Social culture - clubs (football, board games, craft beer, etc), Friday drinks and regular company events
