Job Description

The Occupational therapist role is instrumental in the delivery of direct clinical care by Paisley's Community Mental Health Team. This will include, ensuring service users receive mental health assessments, occupational assessments and a number of interventions such as functional assessments, adaptations, anxiety management etc. It is essential that candidates are trained to diploma level as a minimum. It is essential that you are currently be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council. Membership of the British Association of Occupational Therapists is desirable. This post is for 37.5 hours a week and you will work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland check. It would be desirable that you have a current driving licence to carry out visits in the community, either within community resources or the service user's home. As part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde's pre employment checking for all appointed candidates, evidence of current HPC registration will be required prior to start date. You should therefore note candidates who are unable to provide confirmation of current HCPC registration, in line with projected start date for this post, may not be shortlisted for interview. The shift pattern for this post is Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm.
