This opportunity will deliver the scope for the successful candidate to expand their remit as their tenure progresses. Role Responsibilities * Management/Supervision of the Finance Assistant * Responsible for all elements of the transaction process, encompassing Sales and Purchase Ledgers * Working capital and cash management * Coordination of the monthly billing process * Payment of suppliers * Coordination of the monthly payroll * VAT returns * Balance sheet reconciliations * Production of monthly management accounts * Completion of filing and compliance matters such as National Statistics, PAYE and all Companies House requirements * Weekly sales and loss reporting * Be the point of contact for liaison with external stakeholders such as the payroll bureau, Accountants and Banking establishments * Management and ongoing development of financial controls * Any ad-hoc tasks as requested by the Head of Finance and Senior Management teams Essential Skills * Be working towards a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or Newly qualified * Have a strong Excel competency (Minimum experience - Pivot and vlookups) Personal Skills * Strong communication skills * Ability to challenge * A great problem solver * Adaptability to change * Attention to detail * Strong time management Desirable skills * Any previous experience of using Sage Accounting software would be highly advantageous * Previous experience of managing team members
