Requisition ID :10521 Job Description We are currently looking to recruit an Instrument & Electrical Technician to join our Maintenance team based in Haverhill, Suffolk. The successful candidate will ensure that Engineering Systems are accurately maintained and contributes towards their improvement in a proactive way. This is a site service and includes supporting 24/7 operations through standby duties. Key duties include: * Undertaking reactive/corrective Instrument & Electrical repairs * Completing planned proactive/preventive Engineering Schedules including planned annual plant shutdowns * Supporting Capex installations and implements other new improvement works * Trained Fire-Fighter or Fire Team Leader. Working pattern: Monday-Friday including requirement for call-out rota and routine weekend cover. Job Requirements The successful candidate will be qualified to a BTEC ONC/HNC level in electrical or instrumentation discipline or have served an electrical apprenticeship, achieving minimum of a City & Guilds qualification and will have: * Fault finding expertise * Demonstrated industrial electrics competence * Willingness to undertake & commit to formal HNC Instrumentation training. * Chemical industry hazardous area experience & food hygiene awareness would be advantageous alongside: * PLC competence & FLT driving experience * Prior Instrument experience including Calibration and Maintenance * Hazardous Area experience * CompEx Certified (EX01-04) * BS7671 We are IFF.
