Programme Leader - Business, Administration, Customer Service, Management & Accounting. Kidderminster College is a thriving college in the heart of the West Midlands and an exceptional opportunity has arisen to become our Programme Leader our Professional studies curriculum area. The role is focused on a core offer of Business, Administration, Customer Service, Management and Accounting Qualifications encompassing Level's 1 through to 5. The curriculum offers full time and part time courses as well as employer based Apprenticeship qualifications. . You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the planning, delivering and monitoring of our growing and exciting provision. You will lead on ensuring that the curriculum is relevant to the economic demands and ensure that the effectiveness and efficiency of all aspects of the area is to a high standard. As part of your role, you will work closely with the Head of Department to ensure the highest possible standard of learning within the Curriculum. Customer satisfaction will be at the core of everything you do, you will be responsible for liaising with our employers and other external stakeholders to maintain and continually improve opportunities for the learners. Ultimately, you will be able to successfully deliver a curriculum to develop the skills and capabilities of our learners, using best practice in people management and continuous improvement in learning. This is a growing curriculum area and you will require a dedication to devising new courses and successfully building and implementing them. A proactive approach to establishing contacts with local employers and other stakeholders is of critical importance. Experience of managing a 16-18 provision is essential and a sound knowledge of Apprenticeships and the related funding models would be an advantage. A good understanding of the movement between Standard and Technical qualifications is essential. In addition to your management duties you will have a timetable of teaching hours within the curriculum area. It is therefore essential that you have a professional qualification in a related discipline at Level 4 or above and a formal teaching qualification at a minimum of Level 4. You will be a highly skilled practitioner with at least 3 years teaching experience in the related field. A full Internal Verifiers qualification would also be an advantage. The successful candidate will also need to have a flexible approach, be independent and proactive, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
