We are recruiting for an experienced **Field Service Engineer** (based in or around London) to be responsible for the installation, upgrade, repair and preventative maintenance of Vascular capital equipment. Working closely with the central dispatch team as well as sales/clinical colleagues, the Field Service Engineer will be responsible for driving customer satisfaction through service excellence. Key Responsibilities: + Hardware/software field support: includes system installation, maintenance, calibration, upgrades, troubleshooting and repair, also includes demo system maintenance and preparation for congresses + Document field service interventions per QA system requirements + Report capital equipment incidents per QA system requirements + Provide support and technical assistance for in-house training courses and congresses + Provide system maintenance and troubleshooting training to customer biomedical engineering departments and Abbott sales and field clinical staff + Extensive national and international travel required based as per business need Key Requirements: + A Bachelors degree in electronics, engineering or similar is preferred, but relevant experience considered + Prior experience in medical electronics service or related field service is required (medical devices/software based medical systems would be advantageous) + Strong electronic and mechanical engineering skills including troubleshooting + Computer skills: MS Office, Linux + Familiarity with Cathlab/operating room procedures/protocols would be advantageous + Willingness to be flexible, respond at short notice to scheduling requirements, work with autonomy in a fast-paced environment As you'd expect from a global healthcare company, we offer a fantastic range of benefits including competitive salaries and bonus potential, a superb defined contribution pension scheme, private healthcare, life assurance and a flexible benefits scheme.
