* Organization: Vonage API Group Product * Location: London, UK * Travel Requirements: Light travel primarily to US (East Coast) Vonage Product Management Mission: The Vonage API Communications Group is an emerging leader in the $100B+ cloud communications platform (CPaaS) market. Customers such as Airbnb, Viber, Whatsapp, Snapchat, and many others depend on our APIs and SDKs to connect with their customers all over the world. Why this role matters Our ability to deliver and connect Voice calls and SMS with the best quality and cost management is a critical component to the API Communications Group. With the largest global CPaaS network our reach is continually expanding. Which is why we are looking for a dedicated Technical Product Manager to take our unique network to the next level. What you will do * Define the vision and roadmap for Programmable Network in synergy with the Connectivity product strategy, working across the business from Sales, Support, Business Operations * Define target operating model for Programmable Network working with other Product Managers as well as Carrier Operations * Work with other key Product Managers to: * Oversee carrier and provider integration with the SMS & Voice products * Define operational process to screen, test and identify new carriers/providers to increase the routing connectivity * Support Carrier Operations to: * Design routing operational processes (new customers on-boarding, changes to the routing configurations, routing incident, set-up of monitoring/alerting tools) * Identify the correct tools to monitor and troubleshoot routing set-up * Identify automations for changes to routing configurations and test on routing networks * Collect and validate business needs requirements for SMS and Voice routing needs * Help troubleshooting with carrier/providers incident/problems and provide advanced technical support to resolve network outages * Integrate customer feedback and performance metrics continuously into Programmable Network roadmap and direction What you will bring * Experience in delivering complex software through ability to: * assimilate complex operational challenges * summarise and articulate in simple form * create detailed business and technical requirements * work across diverse teams, engage with and inspire * create an exceptional user experience * working with 3rd party systems, vendors and suppliers globally What is required for application Required * Computer Science degree or similar technical qualification * Minimum 5 years experience in a relevant sector and function * Minimum 3 years of Product or Operational Management experience * Experience building API products or using APIs as a developer * Understanding of UNIX/Linux systems and basic sysadmin abilities * Understanding of databases (MySQL), SQL queries and data schemas * Able to work with data in formats such as CSV, XML, JSON, etc. Desired * Previous Operations Support Systems (OSS) experience * Hands on experience with complex routing systems ideally from the Voice and SMS Telco sector * Possess a basic understanding of the PSTN (T1's, ISUP Signaling, SS7 Links, E911, CNAM, etc) * Previous experience with Telco Numbering Plans * Experience working with and building complex web applications * Familiar with web technologies e.g. HTML, CSS, Javascript/Typescript and REST * Experience with Agile methodologies & tools (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) * Experience using Jira, Confluence and project management tools What is in it for you * Unlimited paid holidays * Matched pension * Life assurance * Income Protection * Cycle to work scheme * Payroll Giving for Charities * Season Ticket Loan * Private Medical * Dental & Eye Cover * Gym Membership Loan * Extended Maternity and Paternity Leave * Career progression * Flexible working hours * Industry conferences as a team or individual * Free snacks and food * Friday beer o'clock * Work laptop * Secure bicycle storage * Discounts in London attractions through TasteCard Loan and BUPA, the medical provider * Social meet ups Potential Next Career Move: Expert/Director Product Manager
