Job Description
The Amazon Web Services' Technology, Sourcing and Infrastructure team is looking for a highly motivated Technical Program Manager to join the Strategic IP Services (SIPS) team which designs and negotiates connectivity for Amazon offices. SIPS supports its customers by providing them connectivity to Amazon data centers or the public Internet over a variety of dark and lit product types such as DIA, DF, EPL, and WAVE circuits. We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in delivering successful programs, a strong sense of ownership, and a passion for defining and driving large cross-functional programs in the infrastructure and networking space. You will scope work, identify the appropriate resources, set goals, track and report progress, and develop schedules for sites located across the world. Beyond this, you will evolve your space by increasing efficiencies and finding ways to simplify and invent new infrastructure standards. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, finance, product, and technical challenges with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions for our customers. You will be customer centric and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that requires strong technical and business judgment, with great communication collaboration across teams, organizations and time zones. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Ensuring designs output by SIPS are high quality, on time, and meet both customer requirements and service owner's technical standards. Understanding many different connectivity product types so you can effectively communicate these advanced technologies to non-technical audiences. You will influence your customer's solution. Managing the prioritization and workflow of projects which will include defining new processes to go faster without sacrificing quality. Proactively identifying and resolving issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, technical, and customer's goals. Interfacing and partnering with all levels of the AWS and Amazon business leadership across the globe.
