Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Registered Manager for a 3 bedded secure unit for young offenders and young people with drug and alcohol abuse. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and strong communication skills. This is a challenging role the residents can be impulsive, in your face and test boundaries at every level but you can make a real difference and offer the chance for a fresh start in life. Registered Manager Duties and Responsibilities: * Protect young people from threats to health, welfare and normal development inside and outside of the home environment * Manage challenging behaviours appropriately according to guild lines set by the home * Ensure the home environment is appropriate and sensitive to young people's needs * Managing the home through procedures, policies and activities engaged in * Ensuring key stages in the stay of the young person such as admissions, discharge, transfers are properly managed and recorded * Ensure staff dealing with complex cases are given support and advice * Develop and maintain professional relationships with the Police social workers, and other professionals from associated agencies * To assist in the management and operation of budget and petty cash * To assist in the homes budgeting estimates * Providing leadership and guidance to assist in the development of staff * To have responsibility in the deployment and management of staff on a day-to-day basis * To be involved in the monitoring, appraisal and disciplining of staff as necessary Requirements * At least 3 years' management experience * NVQ/QCF level 5 in Leadership and Management or equivalent * Experience of working with young people in a residential setting * Experience of working with severely challenging behaviour Benefits * Private Healthcare (subject to P11D) * Enrolment into a Company benefit scheme * 34 days leave per annum (plus extra days for loyalty after 3 years) Salary: Competitive Closing date: Friday 8th November 2019 Interview: ASAP Contact: Amandeep at Job Paths 4 U 0116 2183355 Job Paths 4 U is an Employment Agency and an Employment Business.
