Apply today and get £2000 bonus * As a Nurse, you will be closely supporting customers to enable them to do everything they need to do to live well. We are currently have vacancies at : Cookson's Court A Nurse is one of our most essential roles and involves: * Building meaningful relationships with our customers, in a holistic environment. * Ensuring that a person centered approach is adopted to meet the identified needs of our customers. * Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the customer's clinical care including participation in customers reviews. * Supporting our customers with daily living routines including washing, dressing and personal care. * Working/liaising with other professionals, such as a GP, Social Worker and families. * Keeping clear and accurate computerised records of the care and support provided. * Supporting customers in order to improve health and well being in order to maintain contact with family and friends e.g. skype, internet. * Maintaining the safety and well being of staff, customers and visitors during the course of your shift. * Following Company policy in relation to the safe storage, handling and recording of medicines and treatments. * Maintaining awareness of evidence-based practice. * Participating in clinical supervision and contributing to annual appraisal. * Leading, training and co-ordinating the care and support staff working within the home. * Contributing to the completion of audits/monitoring as part of the Company's Quality Assurance scheme or external requirements. Having an awareness of the costs of care, ensuring that resources are utilised efficiently and with best value for money. * Ensure that any concerns raised by the team are appropriately managed. What you'll need: * A caring, kind and empathetic approach * To be passionate about making a difference * To be a Registered Nurse with the NMC whose competent in all basic RN procedures * To have thorough and up to date knowledge of nursing theory and best practice * An understanding of NMC Code of Practice and the requirements of it for own practice and behaviour * An understanding of the needs of older people * Good communication skills * Ability to lead, motivate and engage a team * To work flexibly across shifts including weekends * A basic level of IT or willingness to undertake basic IT training with support You will be given full training and support right from the outset.
