The successful applicant will manage the agreed procedures for the processing of personal and sensitive personal information for the purpose of criminal record keeping on PNC and other associated local and national systems. You will maintain a specialist knowledge and expertise of relevant operating rules and procedures whilst ensuring your team achieves against PNC timeliness targets whilst maintaining attention to detail and excellent data quality. Other responsibilities will include: * Maintain short and medium term plans around the management of resources and the prioritisation and allocation of work * Identify and record PNC offence processing data, in accordance with the PNC Manual and published local/national policy * Provide specialist advice, guidance and support to colleagues and customers * Carry out and report on specialist searches of the PNC and extracted PNC data * Investigate matters escalated to you such as data quality concerns or procedural failings * Investigate challenges into PNC data accuracy, amending inaccurate or incomplete data before responding to the originator with explanation, apology and assurances as required This is a challenging but rewarding role.
