Bath, Somerset
CAREGiver
Overview
Job Description
New Employment Opportunities in Uncertain Times In unprecedented times, it's of key importance that we look out for those who are more vulnerable than ourselves, particularly the elderly. The Bath and West Wiltshire branch of Home Instead Senior Care has been providing top quality domiciliary care in the local area since 2011. If you feel you could lend a helping hand during this current crisis, we're growing our family of CAREGivers to support even more isolated clients. During the Covid-19 crisis, we're fast tracking our training program to keep applicants safe - our in-house training will be conducted within social distancing guidelines and reduced to a one-day introduction, with the rest of your training done online from home. We're also offering a quick turnaround on DBS checks so that, in these uncertain times, those with a heart for care can get straight into the role where they're needed most. CAREGiver roles can be short term for those who need employment while furloughed or out of work, but can become long term if you'd like to stay on with our growing company. We especially need CAREGivers during morning breakfast calls, the evenings, and on alternate weekends. Roles are available for roughly 10 - 25 hours per week. We do have limited 30 - 35 hour contracts. Our hourly pay rates - Home Help calls are 9.75 , going up to 11.15 on the weekend, and Personal Care calls are 10.35 , going up to 12.00 on the weekend. Paid travel and waiting time, company pension and health scheme. You need to have a friendly, kind and caring nature, your own reliable transport, to be willing to visit a client displaying symptoms of Covid-19 (in the unlikely event that this is necessary, and with required PPE). The coronavirus crisis is a worrying time, but if you can offer your assistance, you'll be making a difference in the lives of some of the most vulnerable and isolated in our community.
