We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Connected Home Solutions organisation and work with our Saltaire engineering teams to help drive the advancement of digital TV technology and to design, build and deliver the best connected home solutions that enable success & build growth, differentiating product sales with a deep understanding of customer needs, enabling then to deliver the best experiences. You will work within an Agile environment to continuously test and deliver working software to our customers and will be testing full-stack set-top-box software that is deployed to over 1 million set top boxes and which is designed to "own" the living room, aggregating traditional broadcast content with Video On Demand and other applications such as Netflix. You will have the opportunity to design, develop & implement solutions for testing cutting edge features that transform how users consume this content and to use your experience to mentor team members, help improve testing processes and promote our test automation agenda. Our Saltaire office is based in a World Heritage Site in West Yorkshire, less than 15 minutes by train from Leeds or Bradford, with discounted MetroCard and cycle to work schemes, plus free on-site car parking available. To apply for this role, you'll need to have several years' experience of software testing, be experienced working in an Agile environment and be able to develop test cases in a test automation framework. The following will also be highly advantageous: * Experience of Python and / or Robot Framework * Experienced in Test Case creation, review and maintenance * Experienced in regression testing methodologies * Ability to quickly understand new technologies * Appreciation of functional requirements * Knowledge of DVB related technologies * Working knowledge of test management, defect management and collaboration tools. * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills * Evidence of test process improvement and team mentoring * Excellent communication, interpersonal and reporting skills It is the policy of CommScope to provide Equal Employment Opportunities to all individuals based on merit, qualifications and abilities.
