Delivery PMO Manager Sainsbury's Bank/AFS - Lochside, Edinburgh In a nutshell This role will be responsible for supporting change delivery to ensure effective and appropriate controls over it, oversee provision of clear, quality visibility & MI on the dimensions of change delivery performance, and will lead the Delivery PMO team. The team are responsible for: * Providing oversight of the change initiatives and key governance forums (with Head of Delivery) * Challenging, assuring and working with delivery management to achieve effective performance, governance and visibility * Building aggregated views of delivery MI (e.g. Performance, risk, plans, resources) and providing thematic insight from them * Ensuring reporting & assurance across the initiatives / change delivery are providing the right inputs and escalations into delivery leadership, Corporate PMO and senior/exec management * Owning effectiveness of the Change Delivery Framework and its application * Shaping of controls and guiding their appropriate application, driving quality * Engaging with business leads and support function business partners to provide a clear picture of delivery performance and ensure the needs of change delivery are understood and supported What you need to do * Drive implementation of the Change Delivery Framework to underpin safe, controlled and effective delivery * Drive the embedding and effective running of change delivery governance structures to provide appropriate decision making, oversight and control * Shape and implement standards and guidance across the main dimensions of change performance and MI (e.g. planning, RAID, cost, benefit, change management, resourcing) * Implement and maintain a reporting and assurance regime that supports effective governance of the corporate portfolio of projects and programmes * Ensure senior stakeholders and management have the right information to make informed decisions * Build aggregated views of delivery reporting & MI and provide thematic insight from them * Lead the assurance of sub-portfolio/programme/project reporting and performance * Pro-actively manage sub-portfolio and programme dependencies through PM/PMO community * Provide visibility, challenge and escalation of key RAID items across the sub-portfolios and initiatives, ensuring top RAID items are managed at the right level and that a forward-looking view is maintained * Oversee application of financial controls in delivery * Manage Investment Board/Stage Gate assessments and ensure effectiveness of the process * Develop and maintain service proposition for the team * Agree & maintain specific role profiles/ assignment briefs for the team * Collaborate closely with the Argos Financial Services Delivery PMO to ensure consistency of approach and sharing of good practice * Work closely with Corporate PMO to ensure creation of a suite of overall portfolio MI and insight for senior and executive management What you need to know and show * Demonstrable experience in PMO management, effective running and oversight of change delivery and governance * Can lead and drive results self-sufficiently * Engages and manages stakeholders effectively, resolving issues and understanding drivers/needs * Able to define and apply standards, governance and frameworks that enable and control successful delivery of change * Able to constructively hold others to account, whilst maintaining positive relationships * Able to engage, develop and empower their PMO team through skilled people management * Responds to priorities with a sense of urgency and pace. * Communicates openly and honestly.
