Amazon is seeking a Business Analyst to be a key partner within its Transportation team in Coalville, UK. Business Analyst will leverage deep dives and metrics to identify key actions, help Transportation build scalable solutions, as well as play a key role in defining and launching automated reporting metrics. The candidate should be a mixture of a Business and Technical Analyst with a focus on process improvement and data analysis skills. Your daily responsibilities are: Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions. Partner with technology teams for timely resolutions of system issues Lead brokerage team with the automation of manual tasks Understanding existing analytical simulations and assessments and suggesting the business impact of the trends to enable decisions that make sense based on available data Map, document and recommend process improvements Actively engage with internal partners throughout the organization to meet and exceed customer service levels & transport-related KPI's. Research and implement cost reduction opportunities Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies An entrepreneurial mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in fast-paced environment is crucial Reporting and analysis through tools, portals and reports; following solution-driven approach to systems and processes, using advanced computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) and manipulating/mining data from database tables (Access, SQL, Redshift, Oracle, Data Warehouse), compiling it into a digestible and actionable format Ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences Ensure KPIs are published and reviewed on a daily, weekly, monthly basis and perform analysis on any behaviors / processes Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
