Start Date: 7th September 2020 - 30th August 2021 Salary: circa £22,000 per annum Hours of work: 35 hours per week Location: Oasis Community Church, Biddulph, Stoke on Trent *Year 2 option and funding is not guaranteed and will be based on a mid year 1 presentation to a panel of a new idea/initiative. Oasis Community Church is a vibrant, authentic, grassroots, emerging church, positively integrated into our local, surrounding community and we have a goal to strengthen and develop these connections over the next year. We can offer you mentoring with an established and experienced pioneer, lots of opportunities in a creative, dynamic environment. You will be working with our team out of an established local youth & community centre right in the heart of the community we serve. We are looking for someone who will bring their own skills and interests to the team, helping to generate ideas and new initiatives and make those inspirations come to life in practice. You will work as part of a team in the following areas: * Developing and leading the outreach ministries to those who are 18+ (young adults) in the church and community * Actively engaging with church and community leaders and members * Creatively directing the development of the Church website making it user friendly and accessible for all, both inside and outside the church community * Engaging with the development and shaping of the worship - helping it become more multimedia, digital and appealing to 18+ age group * Be willing and able to work as part of a development team of staff and volunteers * Working with the pioneer leader to explore aspects of mission and evangelism that fit well in a context where people convey a wide range of spiritual journeys, respectful to those of all faiths and none. * Significant involvement in the Sunday gatherings - worship, speaking etc and supporting the Children and Youth Pastor * Specific roles and responsibilities within the team that may emerge as the work progresses. The pioneer church leader will provide on-the-job support and mentoring. Please note that this post will require a DBS check.
