Job Description
Who are we? Welcome to Tractable, we're an AI company with a mission of transforming breakthrough discoveries in deep supervised and semi-supervised learning into products that actually help people. Research @ Tractable There are 12 of us in the Research team at Tractable. We're all Data Scientists and Applied Researchers, and we work closely with the Engineering team to make our cutting edge research work for real products. We have a huge volume of data (100m+ images) to train our algorithms, and we're dealing with complex visual tasks that typically require decades of domain knowledge! What are we doing? * Combining rich metadata on historical repairs, the knowledge of automobile experts, and photos of vehicle damage to train models that can generate complete and complex insurance estimates using only images as input, whilst matching the granularity and accuracy of a human assessor. * Identifying how ML models can be creatively deployed for maximum leverage * Working with domain experts to identify improvements to production models * Adapting the latest developments from the lab (in domain adaptation, metric learning, multi-task learning etc.) to work in real-world settings We'd love you to join us if... * Your have strong analytical skills * You have experience with Machine Learning from academia and/or the industry * You have a passion for Machine Learning, and an enthusiasm to apply it in a pragmatic manner that brings real-world impact * You have a proven track-record in implementing and iterating on ML solutions to tough applied research problems * You have solid Python experience Company benefits * Equity * Flexible Working Hours * L+D budget * Games nights * Monthly Brunch (ask us about it...) * Competitive maternity + paternity leave Here at Tractable we're passionate about creating an inclusive culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse voices of our employees.
