Job Description
Our Infrastructure team is a set of broad-minded technologists with diverse backgrounds, who focus on continuously improving the end-to-end resiliency, scalability, visibility, usability, and supportability of Maven's technology systems. The Windows Engineer has full-stack responsibility for Windows desktop and server environments, virtualization, communication and collaboration systems, telephony, and more. Identify, design, and build secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions to meet the needs of a company whose trading business is expanding globally. Work directly with developers, traders, and business leaders to recommend and implement solutions which can positively impact Maven's business. Maven is undergoing a technological transition; updating our existing infrastructure and equipping it for our next stage of growth. What we are looking for * Proven role in designing and building high performance VDI environments * Experience engineering desktop environments for maximum reliability and ease of management * Strong history of managing Windows Server systems and their associated infrastructure * Extensive understanding of storage systems * A drive to automate tasks (strong PowerShell and/or python skills) * Deep familiarity with Office 365 and BYOD remote computing * Good grasp of modern tools and techniques (infrastructure as code, git, puppet, chocolatey, DSC, CI-CD, etc) * Strong understanding of networking technologies * Willingness to take ownership of processes and technologies * History of continuous technical growth Maven is a proprietary trading and market making organisation formed in 2011.
