Job Description

Are you an experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager looking for the next step in your career? Do you have a proven ability to support young people who have been the victims of trauma and are extremely vulnerable and experience with leading staff teams? We are looking for someone to manage a 2 bedded EBD home. Registered Manager Duties and Responsibilities: * Protect children and young people from threats to health, welfare and normal development inside and outside of the home environment * Ensure home environment is appropriate and sensitive to needs of children and young people looked after * Managing the home through procedures, policies and activities engaged in to provide a positive and enjoyable experience for the child or young person they are responsible for * Ensuring key stages in the stay of the child or young person such as admissions, discharge, transfers are properly managed and recorded * Ensure staff dealing with complex cases are given support and advice * Develop and maintain professional relationships with social workers, teaching staff and other professionals from associated agencies engaged in childcare * To assist in the management and operation of budget and petty cash within guidelines * To assist in the homes budgeting estimates * Providing leadership and guidance to assist in the development of staff * To have responsibility in the deployment and management of staff on a day-to-day basis * To be involved in the monitoring, appraisal and disciplining of staff as necessary Requirements * NVQ Level 3 children and young people or equivalent * Level 5 leadership and management or working towards * Experience in a children's EBD home * Proven success of development of staff teams and individuals * 5 years management experience (Preferred) * Driving licence with access to own vehicle Benefits Salary: 11.40 - 12.70 per hour * Pension Auto-enrolment * 'Pay Care Scheme', this is a company health care benefit. * 'Perk Box' * Annual Leave Service Award * Long Service Bonus of 750 given after 5 continuous full time years of employment * NVQ Bonus when complete Level 3 (500 in total) or Level 5 (750 in total) in instalments, initial after completion and remainder 18 months following * Refer a friend scheme for both qualified and unqualified * Free meals on shift (for residential roles) * Company pays for DBS as well as reimburses cost for update service each year Closing date: Friday 15th November 2019 Contact: Priya at Job Paths 4 U Job Paths 4 U is an Employment Agency and an Employment Business.
