Medical Laboratory Assistant - Blood Sciences

We have an opportunity for a Medical Laboratory Assistant in the Blood Sciences team at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. We require a conscientious and enthusiastic individual to join the laboratory team in providing Blood Science services at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Working in different areas within Blood Sciences, duties will include: collecting, checking and labelling of specimens, filing, and some data input duties. You will also undertake some specimen preparation and general laboratory duties. The duties will be varied and vital to the successful working of the department. Training in all aspects of the role will be given and you will work under supervision. This post would suit someone methodical and with attention to detail who can work well within a small team. The ability to adapt to any changes within the role is desirable. Applicant should be able to work 24/7 shifts by rota.
