Job Description
The SMART Project is an innovative project aimed at supporting adults with learning disabilities within North Ayrshire to support them to maintain their own homes. Key Responsibilities: The role of Support Worker is an inspirational one for the SMART project you will provide excellent support to service users within their homes. You will promote the independence of the service users and produce formal reports to maintain the records. As a motivated and dynamic Support Worker you will be responsible for assisting with delivering a high quality programme of support which promotes client choice and control. You will address clients support needs, enable them to make positive life choices and ultimately empower them to lead more sustainable lifestyles. The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate: - Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with service users, carers and professional agencies. - A knowledge and experience of working with adults with a learning disability is desirable - To work on own initiative. - A Positive attitude and a high level of motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients to achieve focussed and positive life outcomes - An Ability to work in busy environment, be solution focused, show good time management skills and can demonstrate ability to prioritise and make decisions under pressure In order to complete your application please download and read the job description and person specification.
